Frequently Asked Questions
What is Anonymous Safe Reviews?
A secure, community-driven platform where freelancers, gig workers and anyone navigatnig the gig economy can research clients, and anonymously share their own experiences to help others stay safe.
Is it really anonymous?
Yes! We are constantly monitoring and logging our systems, from IP hashing to temporal delays. We don't track cookies and even purge the anonymous verificaiton tokens we give you. You don't need an account to post a review and we don't keep, share, or sell any data.
Who can leave a review?
Anyone who's worked with a freelance client or gig platform contact. If you've had an experience—good or bad—your insights are welcome.
What kind of reviews are allowed?
Factual, non-personal actual experiences. You'll tag a few key attributes (paid on time, respectful, would work with again) and optionally add a private summary. We will filter and remove any full names or identifying information, doxxing or retaliatory posts, as well as defamatory, unverifiable claims of criminal behavior.
Is the platform free?
Yes, during open beta. We may introduce premium features later, but the core tools—search and contribute—are open and free for now.
Trust & Moderation
Can clients see reviews about them?
Yes. Anyone can search by username or phone number to see public reviews. However, no reviewer names or identities are shown—protecting both parties' safety and privacy.
What if I see a review about me that I disagree with?
We're building fairness into the platform from day one. Here's what you can do:
Will you ever remove a review?
Yes—but only if it breaks the rules: harassment, hate speech, spam, or personal info. We don't remove reviews just for being critical or uncomfortable.
Can people fake reviews to hurt someone?
We have strong abuse filters in place, including encryption fingerprints, submission pattern checks, and community moderation. And because there's no public follower count or reward, bad-faith posts rarely gain traction.
Features & Flow
What if there are no reviews for a client I searched?
It means no one has reported that handle yet. You can:
How long does it take to write a review?
About 60 seconds. No account, no uploads, no fluff—just checkboxes and a short, optional note.
How do I share this tool with others?
Just copy the homepage link—or tap the share icon in the header or footer. You'll also see a share prompt after successful searches or when no reviews are found.
